Spalding is the ultimate storyteller. And if he has kids I doubt their stories involve rabbits and morals. Rather bizarre happenings invented in his mind of conjured strange human actions. He is enthusiastic and brings spark to an idea that is supposed to be boring. A man telling an 80-minute story to a camera. But this isn't any Ben Stein film on clear eyes but an invigorating tale full of surprises and inventive idea. Although at times you whine for actors it quickly subsides as you get sucked back in to his entertaining story.
A Soderbergh film proving his ways different from Hollywood. He must create a film of exciting visuals to drag you away from the man at the desk just reciting a story; although he is hardly a relaxed man. A different way of doing film and one I recommend.
