Conundrum, Schunundrum!

Not for Kevin Smith, the writer-director of the New Jersey "Trilogy," which in fact is not. What started out as Clerks, has now spawned five movies - all hilarious in their own right. Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and now Jay and Silent Bob Strike back--a wittingly funny merger of all five movies with an all new plot and great new jokes!

Jay and Silent Bob (Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith) find out that Hollywood is making a movie about them. Well, not them, but characters based on them which the characters from Chasing Amy, Holton and Banky, created. But they find out that everyone is trashing their movies, and on top of it all, they aren't even getting a cut of the movie rights! And in a hilarious bit of writing, both Ben Affleck and Jason Lee play two characters each. Ben Affleck plays himself and Holton, and Jason Lee Plays Brodie (the comic-loving freak from Mallrats) and Banky (from Chasing Amy.

One thing that was great--and not so great--was that Kevin Smith used a lot of inside jokes in this flick. One who is not familiar with any of Kevin Smith movies might have a tought time getting a lot of the jokes. Myself, having seen all four previous flicks, immensely enoyed this final flick. It was great seeing parodies of Star Wars and E.T. and, a bunch of movies. I also love it when characters in the movie interact with the camera... and this has a bunch of those moments.

Overall, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is a great collage of parodies and inside jokes that are sure to keep you laughing for decades. Full with inside characters and cameos by actors from all five flicks and regular actors (just to name a few, Jason Biggs, James Van Der Beek, Chris Rock,
George Carlin, Joey Lauren Adams, Elizabeth Shannon, Sean William Scott, Will Ferrel, Judd Nelson--inside joke from Dogma, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and many more!)
This movie is packed with a wholloping laughter punch that will bring you to your knees!
Snooch!
