It's sorf ot a 'Movie Law', "Remakes are always inferior to the original". I have not seen the 1968 version of Sweet November, but I'm pretty sure it was better than the 2001 remake.

Nelson Moss (Keanu Reeves) is a work-a-holic with no life. He works all day long, and thinks about work since the moment he wakes up until he goes to bed. One day, he needs to take the Driver's Licence test, and there he asks a question to a young lady during the exam, Sara Deever (Charlize Theron), and the person monitoring them saw Sara answering him, and broke her exam, telling her to come back in a month.

After this, Sara appears on Nelson's house and forces him to give her a ride, claiming that because of him she can't drive. And if he refuses, she'll make a scandle. After the ride, she also tells him to go up, to her appartment, if not she'll come back to his place tomorrow, so Nelson accepts.

Sara starts telling Nelson that his life is boring and he is unhappy, and she wants him to stay with her for the complete month of november. Nelson, of course, refuses. But then bad things start happening to him; His girlfriend left him and he got fired from his job. After that and lots of talking to Sara, he decides to stay.

After that it's just how they do stuff for fun, and how they start to fall in love. But of course it can't all be so good, some problems show up, Nelson tries to do everything possible but it'll be very hard to get away with what he wants.

And it's basically that. The acting wasn't bad, but it wasn't very good either. The story didn't seem very entertaining to me, and the ending wasn't so cool. I wouldn't recommend it if you ask me.
