This movie is actually more known under the title "Blood Waters of Dr. Z" and was featured in a hilarious episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 under that title. The movie is utterly awful. It opens showing a bunch of fish with a creepy man praising all of these fish and how much he loves them. Later there's a song about "planning revenge on my friends" as this homely old man wanders around.
Continuity errors abound in this... this... THING (it sure ain't worthy enough to be called a "movie" although it's a hell of a lot better than "Dude Where's My Car"). The ugly old guy turns himself into a giant fish creature. I think it's supposed to be a fish creature, but it's more like a rejected costume idea for Creature from the Black Lagoon. Now, it takes place in Mississppi or some state in the south that the Mississippi river flows through. I have never seen the Mighty Mississippi (fun word to spell), but I'm pretty sure that there's no octopi ir sharks in there. There's also an ocean with freshwater fish in it?!
Probably one of the strangest things about this "thing that is on film" is that the opening credits claim that it was "filmed on location in Switzerland." No joke, it says that. A movie that takes place along the Mississippi river was filmed on location in Switzerland. There's NOTHING in common with the two. That would be like filming "Cast Away" on location in New York City. Or making a documentary about the ghetto in Beverly Hills.
I give this movie a 1 because it sucks, but at least deserves more than "Dude Where's My Car" I would actualy recommend this movie if you're a fan of crappy horror films. It's FUN to laugh at!
